Ankara Does Not Agree With The Interpretations That Turkey Slowed Down

ANKARA - ''Ankara does not agree with the interpretations that Turkey 'slowed down' after December 17th'', Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Namik Tan said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a weekly press conference Tan said Turkey maintained efforts to fulfill its commitments in relations with the European Union.
When recalled of the interpretations of European Commission Representative to Turkey Hansjorg Kretschmer that Ankara 'slowed down' after December 17th Brussels Summit, Tan said Turkey maintained all technical studies.
''Turkey fulfills it responsibilities,'' Tan said, adding that the EU also has some responsibilities, noting that Turkey expected the EU to be more active regarding those responsibilities.
Tan said discriminatory implementations should not be made to Turkey, adding that the process applied for other candidate countries should also be implemented for Turkey.

Replying to another question, Tan said a delegation including Foreign Ministry deputy undersecretaries Ertugrul Apakan and Deniz Bolukbasi are currently in Brussels to have meetings.
