Turkey Denies Claims About Weapons Transfer From Turkey To Northern Cyprus

ANKARA - Turkey denied the claims of Greek Cypriots about transfer of weapons from Turkey to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Namik Tan told reporters, ''the U.S. Department of State also issued a statement regarding the claims and denied such a weapon transfer.''
Kyriakos Mavronicolas, defense minister of Greek Cypriot administration, had sent a letter to defense ministers of 24 EU member countries and complained about Turkey by claiming that Turkish troops in the TRNC were strengthened with new weapon systems.
