BURSA - Turkey's automotive exports increased by 61 percent in the first two months of 2005 when compared with the same period of the previous year, and Turkey earned 2.4 billion USD from automotive exports in this mentioned period of 2005, according to the figures of Uludag Exports Unions (UIB).
In accordance with UIB's figures, Turkey had earned 1.2 billion USD from its automotive exports in the same period of 2004.
On the other hand, Turkey's automotive exports increased by 92 percent in February 2005 when compared with February of 2004. Turkey earned 1.1 billion USD from its automotive exports in February of 2005.
Turkey exported cars to 140 countries and 13 free zones and autonomous regions in January and February of 2005.
Germany was ranked the first among countries Turkey exported its products, while France, Italy, Britain, Poland and Spain followed it.
