Turk-is To Organize Sit-ins On Friday

IZMIT - Turkish Confederation of Labor (Turk-Is) Chairmanship Board called on workers to organize sit-ins in their workplaces on Friday (March 4th) to be in solidarity with the workers of Turkish paper factory SEKA.
A statement, released at the end of today's meeting of the Turk-Is Chairmanship Board said, ''Turk-Is will organize sit-ins on March 4th, Friday to be in solidarity with SEKA workers. The Chairmanship Board calls on the government to change its decision to close SEKA Enterprises in Izmit and to allow production to go on in this workplace.''
