Turkish Statistical Instititute revealed the 2011 results of Address-Based Population Registration System.
The report says that, as compared to 2010, Turkey’s population grew by 1,001,281 in 2011.
The population became 74,724,269 after the growth and its rate was reported to be 1,35 %.
According to results, 18,2 % of the country’s population live in Istanbul and the rest live in city and district centers.
Furthermore, half of the population are under the age of 29.
