Rate Of Unemployment Becomes 10 Percent

ANKARA - The rate of unemployment became 10 percent in the fourth quarter of 2004 (October, November, December).
The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Saturday results of the Household Labor Force Survey for the last quarter of 2004.
According to the results, the total employment was estimated as 21.8 million people, and the employment rate was estimated as 43.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2004.
The total unemployment was estimated as 2.4 million people, and the rate of unemployment became 10 percent for the same period.
According to the results of the Household Labor Force Survey, total labor force participation rate was 48.4 percent in the fourth quarter of 2004.
