Rate Of Capacity Utilization Increases

ANKARA - The rate of capacity utilization increased from 79.7 percent to 81.7 percent in the last quarter of 2004.
The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Saturday primarily provisional results of 2,340 large scale manufacturing industrial establishments.
The DIE said that the rate of capacity utilization that was weighted by production value, increased to 81.7 percent.
When the reasons of not working in full capacity for the last quarter of 2004 compared to the same period of the previous year, shortage of demands in domestic market decreased from 55.4 percent to 51.2 percent, and shortage of demands in foreign market increased from 15.3 percent to 14.4 percent.
When the weighted average view of the establishments for July of 2004 compared to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production dropped and domestic sales fell while sale prices and raw material prices increased.
