IZMIR - Turkish entrepreneurs started to invest in car manufacturing industry in Iran . Tiryakiler Group, holding 12 percent share of the EU drive shaft market decided to invest in this country.
Tiryakiler Companies Group President Mehmet Tiryaki told A.A that Iran has a large potential for Turkish automotive industry.
''Important producers in automotive industry have started to invest in Iranian and Russian markets. The volume of incentives in Iran in this business was 5 billion USD last year. This is a big opportunity for Turkish by-industry,'' said Tiryaki.
''Three factories under the auspices of Tiryakiler Group realized an annual turnover of 62 million Euro, employing 600 workers last year. We exported products worth of 12 million USD in 2004. We aim 19 million USD of export for 2005,'' noted Tiryaki.
