ROME, Feb 24 (AFP) - Pope John Paul II was hospitalised Thursday with a fresh episode of the acute breathing difficulties with which he was previously rushed to hospital on February 1, the ANSA news agency said without citing sources.
Earlier, Vatican spokesman Joaquin Navarro-Valls said the pope had been readmitted to Rome's Gemelli clinic because he had suffered a flu relapse and would undergo specialised treatment and tests.
