LONDON, Feb 21 (AFP) - England full-back Ashley Cole has remained doubtful for Arsenal's Champions League match away to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
Cole returned to training Sunday after missing the English champions' last two games because of a virus. But he is still below full fitness and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Monday: "Ashley is travelling but he is still not great. I will make a decision tomorrow.
"He has been in bed for a week. He was a bit flat in training yesterday and although he was a bit better today, he is still a bit short in his fitness," the Frenchman added after last weekend's 1-1 FA Cup draw against Sheffield United.
But Arsenal received a boost with the return of Edu from a hamstring injury and the Brazilian is now set to link up with club captain Patrick Vieira in midfield.
Right-back Justin Hoyte is still out with an ankle injury while recent signing Emmanuel Eboue is not eligible for Champions League duty.
Cole's fellow England defender Sol Campbell is still missing due to a twisted ankle, while Dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp, who does not fly, will not make the trip to Germany.
