History of Turkish Cypriot media to be written

Historians and academics have started a joint project to write the history of Turkish Cypriot Media.

The first copy of the book will be ready in June. The project run by the Association of Turkish Cypriot Journalists is supported by the President of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Dervis Eroglu.

Eroglu welcomed a delegation from Association of Turkish Cypriot Journalists. During the meeting Eroglu said, “Writing the History of Turkish Cypriot Media and passing it to next generations is enormously important”.

President of the Association of Turkish Cypriot Journalists Cenk Mutluyakali said, despite the century long history of Turkish Cypriot media there was no book as such which was the reason to start the project.
