Eight killed as another Iraqi Shiite mosque hit by bomb

BAGHDAD, Feb 18 (AFP) - Eight people were killed and another 13 wounded Friday night when a suicide bomber struck a Shiite mosque in Iskandariyah, 60 kilometres (36 miles) south of Bagdhad, in the sixth anti-Shiite attack of the day, an interior ministry source said.
"Eight dead bodies have been brought to our establishment and 13 wounded have been admitted, said Dr Mohammed Dia, director of the hospital in Hilla, 100 kilometres south of Baghdad.
Earlier, an interior ministry source had said seven people were killed and 10 others wounded when a suicide bomber slammed his car into the Al-Hadi mosque.
The latest attack brings to 33 the number of people killed and more than 50 the toll of wounded in attacks on Shiites Friday, as they began marking Ashura, an annual time of mourning.
