LOS ANGELES, Feb 18 (AFP) - Actress Sarah Jessica Parker, best known for her role as a sex columnist in the TV series "Sex and the City", is to step into a leading film role in the romantic movie "Love Walked In," industry publication Variety reported Friday.
Parker, who became a star by playing the romantically challenged Carrie Bradshaw, will play the part of a 31-year-old who becomes good friends with the 11-year-old daughter of her new boyfriend.
This will be the first movie role Parker has taken since the long-running television series ended a year ago. The movie will be produced by Michael London who also produced "Sideways", which is up for a best picture Oscar on February 27.
