PARIS, Feb 18 (AFP) - The Brazilian Grand Prix has been scrapped from the modified 2005 MotoGP calendar released Friday by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) due to a lack of signed contracts.
The race, which was due to take place on April 17 will be replaced by the Turkish Grand Prix, which is still subject to contract, and will take place at the newly built circuit on the outskirts of Istanbul, on October 23.
To facilitate the change, the Portuguese Grand Prix at Estoril has been moved from October 30 to April 17.
The Autralian Grand Prix, which had been scheduled for Saturday, October 15 will now take place the following day, October 16.
