Talks Between Turkey And E.U. On Iraq

BRUSSELS - A delegation led by Turkey's Special Envoy to Iraq Osman Koruturk met Javier Solana, the high representative of the European Union (EU) for common foreign and security policy, in Brussels on Friday.
Ethem Tokdemir, assistant to Koruturk; Safat Gokturk, Middle East Department deputy director general; and Turkey's Permanent Representative to EU Oguz Demiralp are the members of the delegation.
Views were exchanged with the EU about Turkey's Iraq policy and some concerns were conveyed.
Sources said that Turkey, as a regional country, reflected the importance it attached to the issue and conveyed its experiences.
The Turkish delegation is expected to meet EU Commissioner for External Relations Benita Ferrero Waldner.
