LEFKOSA - Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Talat of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), who also acts as the leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), said on Friday, ''Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadopoulos does not want to share power with Turkish Cypriots, his real target is an ethnically clean administration.''
In an interview with the A.A, Prime Minister Talat said, ''the Greek Cypriot side is responsible for the failure in finding a resolution to the Cyprus issue.''
''In fact, the international community did not expect the Greek Cypriot side to reject UN Secretary General Kofi Annan's Cyprus plan in last year's referendum. Result of the referendum in southern Cyprus was a real disappointment for the whole world. Finding a solution to the Cyprus issue depends on ending international isolation of Turkish Cypriots,'' he said.
When asked whether he would run for presidency, Talat said, ''decision of the CTP will be determinative. I cannot say anything at this moment.''
