Three US troops killed in Iraq road accident

BAGHDAD, Feb 13 (AFP) - Three US troops were killed Sunday when their armoured vehicle rolled over into a canal north of Baghdad, the military said.
"Three Task Force Danger soldiers died in a vehicle rollover at about 5:10 am (0210 GMT) near Balad. The armoured humvee rolled into a canal during a combat patrol," the statement said.
The deaths bring to 1,454 the total number of US servicemen who died since the March 2003 invasion of Iraq, according to Pentagon figures.
