At least two dead, 40 wounded as rebels besiege Iraqi police station

BAGHDAD, Feb 10 (AFP) - Iraqi rebels laid siege to a police station south of Baghdad on Thursday, sparking clashes in which at least two policemen were killed and 40 wounded, a hospital official said.
The insurgents opened fire on the police station at Salman Pak, south of Baghdad in a so-called Triangle of Death, with anti-tank rockets and light arms, police said.
An official at Kindi hospital in Baghdad said two of 42 policemen wounded in the clashes had died.
