Erdogan: Turkey Will Provide Every Type Of Aid To Maldives

MALE - ''Turkish government will provide every type of assistance to Maldives,'' said Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Erdogan attended a dinner which was hosted in his honor by President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom of Maldives on Wednesday.
Erdogan offered condolences to people of Maldives which was hit by tsunami disaster in December.
Erdogan said, ''we, as people of a country which frequently suffer from earthquakes, understand your pain and difficulties. We believe damages caused by the disaster will be eliminated rapidly in solidarity. You can be sure that Turkish government will provide every type of assistance to Maldives.''
Meanwhile, sources said that Erdogan and Gayoom agreed to develop economic, commercial, touristic and cultural relations between two countries.
Prior to the dinner, Erdogan and Gayoom held a bilateral meeting and they took up recent developments in the world.
