Turkey Representative Of Eurimages To Be Awarded Medal Of Culture

PARIS - French Culture Ministry will decorate Faruk Gunaltay, Turkey representative of Eurimages under the Council of Europe, with medal of culture, sources said on Wednesday.
French Culture Minister Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres said, ''we have decided to decorate Gunaltay with medal of culture due to his contributions to development of European cinema.''
Gunaltay has been representative of Turkey since 1990.
Eurimages, which was founded in 1988 to protect and strengthen European cinema industry against Hollywood, is a support fund of the Council of Europe for the co-production and distribution of European cinematographic art.
