Schools In Istanbul Closed For Two More Days Due To Heavy Snow

ISTANBUL - Schools in Istanbul will remain closed on Thursday and Friday, said Governor Muammer Guler today (Wednesday).
''All elementary and high schools will be closed on Thursday due to heavy snow and on Friday due to possibility of icing of roads,'' remarked Guler.
Educational institutions in Istanbul have been closed since Monday due to extremely bad weather conditions. Elementary and high schools were in a winter break until Monday, February 7th. Classes could not resume due to weather conditions.
Meanwhile, one man froze to death in Ordu's Caybasi town early this morning due to bad weather.
Body of a young man who froze to death in Sivas' Altinyayla town was found last Sunday.
