ISTANBUL - A delegation of the Greek Cypriot main opposition party, Democratic Mobilization Party (DISI), headed by Nikos Anastasiadis, has arrived in Turkey today upon an invitation from the ruling Turkish Justice & Development Party (AK Party).
In a statement at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, Anastasiadis said that he is very happy to visit Turkey which is headed towards Europe.
''Our discussions with AK Party officials will bring us closer to each other. We will talk on how we can contribute to Turkey's aspirations regarding Europe. We also want to share the concerns of Greek Cypriots. We are hopeful that the problem (in Cyprus) will be resolved with Turkey's assistance,'' told Anastasiadis.
DISI delegation will remain in Turkey until February 13 and will participate in meetings in both Istanbul and Ankara.
