MALE - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Maldives, the fourth leg of his tour of southern Asia, which was badly affected by a tsunami disaster in December.
Erdogan was welcomed with a full military honors at the Male Airport.
President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom of Maldives will receive Prime Minister Erdogan later in the day.
Prime Minister Erdogan is the first ever Turkish prime minister and the first ever prime minister paying a visit to Maldives in the last 46 years.
