Several injured in explosion at German military base

BERLIN, Feb 8 (AFP) - Several people were injured on Tuesday in an explosion at a German military base in the southwest city of Mainz, regional police said.
A spokesman said police had ruled out any attack on the Kurmainz base and that the blast may have been caused by an accident at a laboratory at the facility.
No other details were immediately available.
