ISTANBUL - The gala match of the Fifth Meridian Cup between Turkish and Tunisian national soccer teams was cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
The match was scheduled to take place at Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on February 9th.
Turkey hosts the Fifth Meridian Cup jointly organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and African Confederation of Football (CAF).
The competition which has previously been played in Portugal, South Africa, Italy and Egypt features Under-17 national teams of Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Egypt from Africa and France, Spain, Portugal and host country Turkey, from Europe.
