NEW YORK, Feb 3 (AFP) - Little more than a week after his return from a 30-game ban, the Indiana Pacers' Stephen Jackson has been suspended again by the National Basketball Association.
NBA senior vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced Thursday that Jackson has been suspended one game without pay for verbal abuse of an official.
Jackson will serve his suspension during Friday's game against Dallas.
The incident happened after Wednesday's 97-96 loss to the Toronto Raptors in which Jackson's sloppy defense cost the Pacers the win.
With 1.9 seconds left, the Raptors ran a play for Jalen Rose, who curled around the top of the key and leaned into Jackson, who could not move his feet quick enough and committed the foul.
Rose sank both free throws as the Raptors claimed the victory.
Jackson was suspended 30 games for his role in the infamous brawl at Detroit on November 19. Since his return on January 26, the Pacers are 0-5.
