SANTA MARIA, California, Feb 1 (AFP) - Pop superstar Michael Jackson's child sex trial adjourned for the week Tuesday, barely one day after the proceedings opened in a blaze of publicity.
Judge Rodney Melville told the "King of Pop," his defense team and prosecutors to return Monday morning to the courthouse in the central Californian city of Santa Maria.
The decision was taken after the two sides swifly completed the original phase, which consisted of selecting a pool of 250 potential jurors from among about 4,000 who had received jury summons.
The two sides plan to question some of the potential jurors next week.
