US soldier killed by bomb in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Jan 29 (AFP) - A US soldier was killed by a bomb in Baghdad on Saturday, the US military announced.
"A Task Force Baghdad Soldier was killed by an improvised explosive device about 3:45 pm, January 29 in western Baghdad," said a military statement which added no other details.
Seven American soldiers were killed on Friday and on Wednesday the US military had its worst day in Iraq with 31 service members killed in a helicopter crash in western Iraq and seven others in other incidents around the country.
