Erdogan Meets President Schmid Of Switzerland And Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shalom

DAVOS (AA) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is currently in Davos town of Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum, met on Friday President Samuel Schmid of Switzerland, and Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom of Israel.
     Following the meetings, Prime Minister Erdogan told reporters, ''my meeting with Mr. President Schmid focused on efforts to increase reciprocal trade volume between the two countries. Switzerland is ranked fifth among countries investing in Turkey. The trade volume between our two countries exceeded 3.5 billion U.S. dollars. We discussed possible measures to increase this amount.''
     ''Turkish citizens living in Switzerland constitute a good bridge of communication between our two countries,'' he said.
     Prime Minister Erdogan said that the Israeli-Palestinian dispute was high on agenda of his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Shalom of Israel.
     ''I told Mr. Shalom that Turkey is ready to make contributions to the peace process,'' Erdogan added.
