DAVOS (AA) - Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is currently in Davos, Switzerland for World Economic Forum (WEF), met Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili on Friday.
     Saakashvili told reporters before the meeting, ''Turkey's support and cooperation is an important factor to maintain our independence.''
     ''Turkey is a significant country regarding maintaining the stability of the region. Turkish businessmen are active in the region. I am pleased with the interest Turkish businessmen show in Georgia,'' noted Saakashvili.
     Saakashvili said, ''as Turkey is a very good neighbor to us, we want it to make more investments in Georgia and to be a preferential country in investments in Georgia.''
