ANKARA (AA) - U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Douglas Feith will come to Ankara on Monday, January 31st to hold a series of talks.
Officials at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara told the A.A today (Thursday) that Feith would meet Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, National Security Council Secretary General Yigit Alpogan and General Staff Deputy Chief Gen. Ilker Basbug.
Iraq issue about which Turkey expresses its opinions and concerns on every occasion, upcoming elections in elections, existence of terrorist PKK/KADEK organization in Iraq and attempts of Kurdish groups to change the demographic structure in north of Iraq will be among the topics to be discussed during Feith's talks in Ankara.
International Security and Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan is also expected to be discussed during those meetings.
Turkey will take over the command of ISAF in February.
