ANKARA (AA) - Turkish sources in Ankara said today that more than four thousand Iraqi citizens registered to vote in Turkey for the upcoming Iraqi national elections to take place on January 30th, 2005.
     According to data released by the Iraq Overseas Voting Program authorities, 4,178 Iraqis registered to vote at three centers in Istanbul and Ankara. Iraqi officials said that over 250,000 Iraqis in 14 countries registered to vote.
     The Iraqi nationals will be able to cast their votes between January 28th-30th. Every Iraqi must present the ballot document received from the Overseas Voting Program and a photo ID in order to vote at the center where he/she was registered.
     Countries where Iraqis will be able to cast their vote include Turkey, Australia, Britain, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Iran, Jordan, The Netherlands, Sweden, Syria, United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.
     Results of the Iraqi elections will be officially announced within 10 days after the elections.
