ISTANBUL, Jan 28 (AFP) - Three people were hurt when a small bomb went off outside a pub in Turkey's biggest city Istanbul overnight, Anatolia news agency reported Friday.
The three men were injured by flying glass after the explosion blew out the windows of the pub in a posh entertainment center in Bakirkoy district, on Istanbul's European side.
Police blamed the explosion on a percussion bomb designed to make a loud noise rather than cause major damage, Anatolia said.
It was not immediately clear who was behind the blast, but underground left-wing extremists have often carried out similar attacks in Turkish cities in the past.
