KIRKUK, Iraq, Jan 26 (AFP) - Seven Iraqis were killed and eight wounded on Wednesday in a double suicide car bomb attack outside a police station near the northern city of Kirkuk, police said.
"Two vehicles driven by suicide bombers blew up at around 11:00 (0800 GMT) in front of the police station in the town of Riyad," some 20 miles west of Kirkuk, General Sarhad Kader Mohammed said.
"Three policemen, two soldiers and two civilians were killed and eight other civilians wounded," he added, updating an earlier death toll of four.
"We were dozens who had come to enlist with the civil defence when the blast went off," one of the wounded, Abdallah Mohammed, told AFP from his hospital bed in Kirkuk.
