BAGHDAD, Jan 26 (AFP) - Two car bombs exploded Wednesday on the perilous road to Baghdad airport, wounding seven US soldiers, the military said.
The first car bomb exploded on the busy road at 10:30 am (0730 GMT), wounding four US soldiers, the military said.
The second bomb detonated at 2:25 pm on the same road, where insurgents regularly target military convoys and civilian contractors.
The second attack wounded three US soldiers and damaged an armored vehicle, the military said.
The blasts were among numerous attacks on Wednesday ahead of Iraq's national elections on Sunday that insurgents have vowed to disrupt.
