Turkey’s Higher Electoral Board (YSK) announced that public officials planning to be candidates at the June 12 general elections must resign from their posts or submit petition for retirement by 17.00 hours on March 10.
The YSK said that 27 political parties will participate in the elections.

Justice and Development Party, Alternative Party, Independent Turkey Party, Peace and Democracy Party, Grand Unity Party, Republican People’s Party, Democrat Party, Democratic Left Party, True Path Party, Labour Party, Equality and Democracy Party, Young Party, Right and Equality Party, Rights and Freedoms Party, Voice of the People Party, People’s Ascent Party, Workers’ Party, Liberal Democrat Party, People’s Party, Nationalist Movement Party, Nationalist and Conservative Party, Freedom and Solidarity Party, Felicity Party, Communist Party of Turkey, Turkey Party, New Party, Homeland Party.
