Turkish state-owned lender Ziraat Bank announced a net profit of 3.7 billion Turkish lira for 2010.
It was 3.5 billion TL in 2009.
Ziraat`s gross profit reached 4.46 billion lira last year, bank`s CEO Can Akin Caglar told a press conference on Thursday.
Caglar said size of assets reached 151 billion lira, which helped bank achieve a 15 percent market share in Turkish banking industry.
He also said that size of loans granted by Ziraat rose to 56 billion lira, up 104 percent since September 2008. Total loans granted by Turkish banks grew at an average 45 percent since that date, Caglar said.
Total deposits in Ziraat also increased 28 percent, or around 27 billion lira, to some 125 billion lira last year.
Ziraat operates 1,379 branches in Turkey and 76 branches in 17 countries. The bank employs 22,800 people.
Caglar said Ziraat plans to hire 4,515 people in 2011 and open two more branches in Kosovo.
Ziraat has been the most profitable bank in Turkey for the last seven years in a row, Caglar added.
