Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Ankara on Friday.
Erdogan said that Turkish-French relations have been advancing in a comprehensive way. "We hope that Turkey and France will take sound steps in the coming period. It is important to build our future together. I attach a great importance to his visit," Erdogan said.
Premier Erdogan said that he was glad to see a French president in Turkey after 19 years.
Sarkozy who arrived in Ankara on Friday earlier had a meeting with President Abdullah Gul.
