Turkish car maker Tofas said Friday its net profit rose 6.6 percent to 384.2 million Turkish lira in 2010.
In a statement, Tofas said its total sales increased 25 percent to 6.4 billion lira last year.
Tofas produced some 312,000 light commercial vehicles and passenger cars in 2010, a number that made it Turkey’s top automotive manufacturer. The company built 28.5 percent of all output of Turkish auto industry.
Tofas, a Koc Holding company, manufactures light commercial vehicles and passenger cars for Italian brand Fiat.
Company’s exports totaled 2.3 billion lira and total sales by unit soared 44 percent in domestic market which saw a 36.6 percent growth in car sales last year.
