Thousands of Turkish citizens to proceed to Tunisia from Libya

Thousands of Turkish citizens living and working in northwestern part of Libya are expected to proceed to Tunisia as of Tuesday evening as week-long unrest left hundreds of people dead in north African country.
Some 3 thousand Turkish citizens will come to Ras el Jdir border crossing between Libya and Tunisia.
Most of them do not have their passports since their passports were kept in central offices of companies they worked for under Libyan rules.
Tunisian authorities said that they would allow Turkish citizens to cross the border without passports, but Libyan authorities have not allowed foreigners to leave the country without passports so far. An official from the Turkish Embassy in Tunis is already at Ras el Jdir border crossing to help Turkish citizens.
After proceeding to Tunisia, Turkish citizens will be sent to Turkey by planes.
