Turkey’s auto maker Ford Otosan, equally owned by Turkish conglomerate Koc Holding and Ford Motor, unveiled a net profit of 505 million Turkish lira in 2010, up 51 percent from a year earlier. (one USD equals 1.582 TL)
In a statement on Monday, Ford Otosan said its domestic sales rose 47 percent and exports increased 37 percent by unit. Company’s export revenues climbed 30 percent to 4.1 billion lira.
Turkey’s automotive market grew by 38 percent in 2010 and hit a record sales number of 791,543 units.
Ford Otosan said it maintains the leadership in Turkey’s auto market over the past 9 consecutive years with its 15.6 percent market share.
