The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has condemned Saturday’s terrorist attack targeting a church in Alexandria, Egypt.
Releasing a written statement, the ministry said that Turkey deeply condemned the bloody terrorist attack in Alexandria which killed more than 20 innocent people and wounded dozens.
The statement said the attack, which targeted Egypt’s social peace, caused great sorrow in Turkey.
The ministry statement also noted that Turkey, as a country that had suffered from terrorism a lot, condemned all kinds of terrorist attacks regardless of their motives or sources, moreover, it was ready to extend all the support to Egypt against such kind of attacks.
At least 21 people were killed and many others were hurt when a bomb exploded outside a Coptic Christian church in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, Egypt in early hours of Saturday.
The blast occurred after midnight as worshipers were leaving a New Year’s service.
