Turkey’s foreign minister had a meeting with Turkish Cypriot prime minister in Ankara on Monday.
The meeting between Turkey’s Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Premier Irsen Kucuk of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) took behind doors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Irsen Kucuk will attend events to declare 2011 as the "Year of the TRNC in Turkey" and hold official talks.
Kucuk arrived in the Turkish capital earlier on Monday, and visited TRNC President Dervis Eroglu, who underwent a hearth surgery.
TRNC Prime Minister Kucuk will continue holding talks in Ankara later on Monday and Tuesday.
Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu underwent a successful coronary bypass surgery last week, and has been at the hospital since then.
His doctors said Eroglu had recovered well and would be discharged from hospital on Monday evening.
