Republican People`s Party has elected 80 names for the new Party Assembly that will carry the party to 2011 elections.
Deputy Chairman responsible for the organization Gürsel Tekin recieved the least amount of vote from the delegates, 762 votes.
Sezgin Tanrýkulu received 1,030 and Enver Aysever received 1,038 these are the least amount of votes after Gürsel Tekin.
46 new names made it to the Party Assembly and 34 names remained out of the list.
Former Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ambassador Faruk Loðoðlu, former Diyarbakýr Bar president Sezgin Tanrýkulu, former President Fahri Korutürk`s son Ambassador Osman Korutürk are among the new figures in CHP Party Assembly. 24 of the members are MPs.
According to CHP by-law at least 25% of the 80-strong Assembly must be women. As the condition for at least 17 women members was not met, legal objections occurred to the new Party Assembly.
Some people argue that Gürsel Tekin and Sezgin Tanrýkulu might lose their seats because of this problem.
Party Leader Kemal Kýlýçdaroðlu said "There is no problem. Laws will put it right."
