Strong blast reported near Jewish settlement bloc in Gaza

GAZA CITY, Dec 18 (AFP) - A strong explosion hit Tuesday evening near the Gush Katif Jewish settlement bloc in the southern Gaza Strip, causing casualties, Israeli army radio reported.
Witnesses were reported as saying a Palestinian suicide bomber approached a group of Israelis and set off the blast. It was not immediately clear whether they were settlers or soldiers.
