Two US soldiers dead after Baghdad road accident

BAGHDAD, Jan 17 (AFP) - A second US soldier has died after a road accident in Baghdad on Sunday, the US military said.
"A Task Force Baghdad soldier, injured when an up-armored Humvee flipped over into a canal in western Baghdad on January 16, died of his injuries at a US military medical facility" on Monday, the statement said.
Another soldier died on the spot.
Based on a Pentagon tally, 289 US soldiers have died in non-combat incidents in Iraq since the March 2003 invasion.
