ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Namik Tan said on Wednesday that Turkish coast guard boats continually monitoring Kardak islet (in the Aegean) and environs, and noted that a Greek fishing boat violated Turkish territorial waters yesterday.
     Tan told a weekly press conference at the ministry that Turkey's stance on Kardak was known by all concerned parties.
     Tan said a Greek fishing boat violated Turkish territorial waters near Kardak rock on Tuesday, and noted that Greek boat had to leave the Turkish territorial waters after the intervention of Turkish coast guard boats.
     Greek Foreign Ministry Spokesman Giorgos Koumoutsakos made a written statement yesterday and said Turkish gunboats anchored off shores of Kardak rock on Tuesday morning, affirming that, ''such kind of attitudes contradict the behavior of countries aiming to adhere EU as well as good neighborhood principles.''
