Commander Of U.S. Central Command Gen. Abizaid Arrives In Ankara

ANKARA (AA) - General John Abizaid, Commander of the U.S. Central Command, arrived in Ankara on Tuesday.
     Gen. Abizaid will meet Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul today, and Gen. Ilker Basbug, Turkish Deputy Chief of General Staff, tomorrow.
     Sources said that this (earlier scheduled) visit has nothing to do with the trilateral meeting expected to be held between Turkish, Iraqi and U.S. officials in Ankara also today.
