Turkey - Iraq - U.S. Tripartite Meeting Starts

ANKARA (AA) - Officials of Turkey, Iraq and the United States convened on Tuesday in a tripartite meeting on security problems of Iraq.
     Officials who met at Bilkent Hotel in Ankara will discuss general security problems in Iraq, as well as how to eliminate PKK/Kongra-Gel terrorist organization from the north of Iraq.
     Turkish delegation is headed by Turkish representative in Iraq Osman Koruturk, while Iraqi delegation is chaired by Iraqi Deputy Foreign Minister Hamid-al Bayati. Laura Kennedy, the U.S. State Department Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, will chair U.S. delegation during the meeting.
     Civilian and military representatives also participate in the meeting.
     A written statement will be released after the meeting.
