A TURKISH CYPRIOT IN TURKISH DELEGATION DUE TO RUSSIA
Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry Chairman Salih Tunar also attended the visit of Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish businessmen to Russia. Tunar said, ''I would like to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin. It can be more beneficial to explain together that Turkish Cypriots and Turkey are in favor of solution.'' For the first time a Turkish Cypriot accompanies Turkish delegation in a visit to a third country.
U.S. WANTS OPERATIONAL USAGE
Turkey and the United States will have very critical meetings today. Security in Iraq will be high on the agenda of the meeting. Also the United States may discuss more comprehensive usage of Incirlik base. General John Abizaid, Commander of the U.S. Central Command, will meet Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul today, and Gen. Ilker Basbug, Turkish Deputy Chief of General Staff, tomorrow.

GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBLE FROM NATIONAL SECURITY
A critical message signed by Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan was sent to National Security Council (NSC) Secretariat General which pursues activities to update National Security Politics Document. The message says, ''Council of Ministers is responsible from national security politics in accordance with Constitution. New Document should be short and plain, not include action plans, and should assess only general strategy.''
MOST DEVELOPED CITY IZMIR
According to the results of 'Solution to Problems of Turkey Conference', the most developed city of Turkey is western city of Izmir. Istanbul ranks the 6th in the list after Ankara, Eskisehir and Kocaeli. The least developed city is eastern city of Hakkari. The list was prepared with the joint studies of governors of 81 cities, mayors, rectors of universities, chairmen of chambers of industry and trade, and expert institutions within 2 years.

TURKISH CITIZENS IN U.S. ON TENTERHOOKS
Second Midnight Express syndrome in the United States... The fourth season of serial ''24'' which is also watched in Turkey is started to be broadcast in the United States. Turkish terrorists kidnap a minister in the serial. Turkish associations in the United States said, ''if someone attacks us (due to the serial), we will file lawsuit.''

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Center's chief scientist advisor Dr. David Applegate warned, ''following the earthquake in Asia, fault moves to west.'' He said, ''the risk in Istanbul is similar with the one prior to Asia quake. Turkish warning system is good but people gain only a few minutes with this system. You should build sound buildings.''

EU BURDEN TO PEOPLE
According to Medicine License Regulation which is now in Prime Ministry to be issued, as of January 1st, 2005 the original medicines which receive license from the EU will be protected for 6 years. Equivalents of these medicines will not be produced. Medical Science Administration Secretary General Ali Riza Ucer said, ''this situation will increase public medicine expenses for millions of dollars.''

Turkey did not start import of meat and animal although it promised to the EU to do so seven years ago. Turkish Foreign Ministry is uneasy about the issue. However, Agriculture Ministry resists to the import.
RUSSIA AGENDA OPENED WITH CYPRUS ISSUE
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who paid a visit to Russia to develop economic relations, started his tour by giving a message about Cyprus issue to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Erdogan said, ''everybody should fulfill their responsibility for the peace of the region.''

CROSS-BORDER MEASURE AGAINST PKK
Officials of Turkey, Iraq and the United States will hold a tripartite meeting today to discuss measures to eliminate PKK/Kongra-Gel terrorist organization from the north of Iraq. Officials will take up in detail the issues on which they have reached consensus in previous meeting and also they will discuss the activities to be fulfilled before a military operation.
RESCUE TRNC FROM ISOLATION
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a dinner with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow last night. Erdogan said, ''Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkey fulfilled their responsibilities regarding Cyprus issue. Now it is time to keep promises. You, as member of UN Security Council, shall start openings.'' Putin, in return, said, ''we will fulfill our responsibility.''

Virtual gambling which has an annual turnover worth of 600 million U.S. dollars is started to be inspected by National Lottery Administration. State will prevent connection to foreign-based gambling sites through which illegal activities can be held easily.

When Bakirkoy Mental Health and Neuropathy Hospital reported that there is no problem in health condition of Yahya Murat Demirel, who was arrested and put into Kartal Prison. Demirel is former owner of Egebank which was transferred to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF).

Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan reacted strongly to Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal who assessed the meeting between Mustafa Sarigul and Erdogan as lobbying activity. Erdogan said, ''it is very ugly to imply that Prime Minister of the country is involved in such lobbying activities.''

Former owner of Egebank Yahya Murat Demirel was sent to Kartal Prison. Demirel was being tried without detention since September 13th, 2002 within the framework of Egebank case.
